The Department of MBA is one of the premier schools for business in Bengaluru, established in 2006, to form competent and committed leaders who are ethical, principle-centred and socially responsible with a global perspective, entrepreneurial and with managerial skills set. Department of MBA is part of Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology, an autonomous college under Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi. It is managed by the secretary, the directors and dedicated faculty members of Nagarjuna Education Society, a well-known fraternity for their outstanding contribution to higher education. The Department of MBA stands for its excellence in Management Education which is the flagship of Nagarjuna Group of Institutions. It strives to inculcate in the students the values of excellence, justice, honesty and service to the society.
Department of MBA primarily offers a two-year Full-time MBA course, approved by AICTE, and Accredited by NAAC ‘A+’ Grade. It also offers a Ph.d program affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University Belagavi. Apart from that it offers various customized programs as an add-on course along with the regular course curriculum with a focus on skill development (Value added Program). The department concentrates on the holistic formation of students in all aspects viz., intellectual, social, emotional and with society consciousness. The college works with an undeterred zeal to offer its students the best in class education, blending classroom and experiential learning with corporate exposure.
Program Highlights:
• Curriculum Design: Industry oriented curriculum design in consultation with the industry experts and experienced academicians.
• Dual specialization: Students have the flexibility to choose dual specialization among five specializations offered such as Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Banking and Insurance.
• Value-Added Programs: Hands-on programs such as Business Analytics, SAP, Digital Marketing, domain specific programs integrate specialized skills development, such as leadership training and industry certifications, enhancing the competitiveness in the job market and preparing for managerial roles with practical expertise.
• Corporate Elevate Program (CEP): CEP programs bridge the gap between academic learning and professional expectations, preparing graduates for seamless transitions into corporate environments through skill enhancement and workplace readiness training.
• Corporate Mentorship: Students are provided with invaluable personalized guidance from industry professionals, fostering practical skills and career readiness.
• Active Industry Interaction: Guest lectures from industrial experts, industrial visits and corporate mentorship equips students with current industry trends and valuable networking opportunities that enhance their career prospects.
• Creative Learning & Entrepreneurship: Center for Creative Learning and Entrepreneurship fosters innovative thinking and problem-solving, essential for nurturing entrepreneurial skills and fosters a mindset of initiative and adaptability in aspiring business leaders.
• Simulation-based learning: Simulation-based learning immerses students in realistic business scenarios, enhancing decision-making skills and strategic thinking crucial for their professional growth and readiness.
• Event Management: Students are exposed with hands-on coordination of real events, enabling them to apply theoretical knowledge to logistical challenges, stakeholder management, and strategic planning. This experiential learning equips students with essential skills in event execution, enhancing their readiness for leadership roles in the dynamic corporate sector.
• Forum Activities: Forum activities provide a platform for collaborative learning, where diverse perspectives and experiences are shared, fostering critical thinking and enhancing decision-making skills in real-world business contexts.
• Student Exchange Programs: Student exchange programs offer invaluable opportunities to immerse in global business practices, fostering cross-cultural understanding and expanding professional networks crucial for international career growth.
• NCET has been granted Autonomous status under VTU and the institution is accredited by NAAC with A+ grade.
